Vernal Equinox and Full Moon-March 20,2019-Washington, D.C.

The Vernal Equinox is an important time astrologically as it’s the beginning of the astrological year. The chart for this moment in time shows the theme for this year.

Here we have a grand trine in earth which means there are planets in positive aspect to each other in the 3 earth signs: Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn indicating a time of practical and tangible accomplishments. This is particularly relevant for people born in the middle or later degrees of the earth signs or have planets there. On this chart we have the Moon in Virgo indicating a desire and need for organization, service and accomplishment, Mars in Taurus showing energy for creativity, sensuality and earning money and Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn indicating structure, discipline, ambition plus transformation. This is a time for releasing what no longer serves you and planning and organizing for some new beginnings. One can tap into the unconscious and spiritual realm in one’s decision making as there is a nice sextile aspect to Mercury and Neptune in Pisces and one’s decisions need to be based on compassion for others as well as for oneself. If you’ve been working at a job that is feeling constricting or unrewarding, this is a good time for changing to one that feels more compatible to your needs.

With Jupiter sextile to Venus there should be a feeling of setting off on a new creative adventure. However, it’s important not to be unrealistic with the Jupiter squaring Neptune-make sure your plans are well researched and grounded in reality. Also, with the Venus square Mars you need to consider your relationships with others but some relationships may need to go by the wayside.

The chart for the full moon is only 3 hours and 45 minutes later so it is very similar except for the Moon and Ascendant which have changed from Virgo to Libra so this full moon is between Aries the sign of independent, self- assertive action and Libra concerned with relationships. It is important to be strongly independent while also relating and harmonizing with others. There is also a challenging inconjunct aspect between Uranus and the Moon in Libra. This gives an added emphasis on relationships and indicates there will be unexpected disruptions in some of those which could be work or personal connections. However, Uranus also indicates freedom so you may need to be freed from some of the old relationships in order to have new ones that are better suited for your new phase of life.

As usual, I have done these charts for Washington, D.C. It seems that there will be some positive accomplishments in the government, perhaps made by the new congress (based on the grand trine in earth including the planet, Pluto) These changes will probably be based more on compassion than during the last session of congress. Also, there will probably be more unexpected changes in relationships which could mean replacements in the cabinet or in the overseeing of the Mueller Investigation.
