New Moon-Solar Eclipse-Oct.14,2023

This New Moon is particularly potent since it is a Solar Eclipse. It is in the sign of Libra and has very challenging aspects. Libra is the sign associated with relationships and Mercury, the Messenger, is aligned with the Sun and Moon. The Sun and Moon is also aligned with the Lunar south Node indicating that issues in relationships from the past may emerge and must be dealt with. These issues may even go back to childhood but must be faced to advance in one’s current and future relationships. The Lunar Nodes are in a difficult T-Square to the planet Pluto indicating psychological issues that need to be faced and transformed. Going through this process can result in healing of deep wounds shown by Chiron conjunct the North Node and this healing can enable one to move forward in one’s life. The Sun and South Node conjunction is in a Yod formation with Uranus and Neptune indicating that unexpected changes will be occurring and spiritual insights can emerge. The fact that Venus, the planet that rules Libra and relationships, is in Virgo opposed by Saturn shows that rigidity and perfectionism will make things more difficult.

The one smooth aspect is Mars Trine Saturn indicating that in the end, hard work on the psychological level can result in spiritual transformation.
