This New Moon is in the sign of Virgo, the earth sign that is very practical and down to earth. Virgos can sometimes be perfectionists. This is a time that is good for beginning new projects such as getting rid of old stuff you are not using anymore to make room for the new. It can also be a perfect time for rearranging things in your home or work place. The Planet Saturn is opposing the Sun- Moon in Virgo which is reminding us to keep things balanced. If we are too caught up in material things Saturn in Pisces, a more spiritual sign, is reminding us to balance it with something like a meditation practice or playing music.
The Planet, Jupiter, that indicates abundance and positive energy is squaring the Sun-Moon conjunction and Saturn thus forming what is called a T-Square. This is telling us to not get diverted from our goals by too many distractions.
Another important Planet on this New Moon chart is Mercury, the planet indicating communication. It is sextile Mars, the planet of energy and achievement in Gemini, Mercury’s sign. Both Mercury and Mars are inconjunct the planet, Pluto, God of the underworld and transformation. Pluto takes us down to our psychological depths and transforms us so this aspect with Mars, Mercury and Pluto is called a finger of God. And then to top things off Mercury is in a positive Trine aspect to Chiron, the wounded healer, so this is a time when we may find ourselves in a dark psychological space requiring time with a therapist or a close friend to sort out what is important to us and what we need to let go of. Most important is that it can be a time of healing and a new beginning.
