This New Moon is very challenging as the Sun and Moon are in Scorpio conjunct Mars, the planet of intense energy. Scorpio is the sign associated with psychological depth. It takes us into our unconscious realms. It is sometimes referred to as “the dark night of the soul”. With Mars conjoining the Sun and Moon it intensifies the energy pushing us into these realms. The planet Uranus is in Taurus, opposing all the Scorpio energy. Uranus brings up unexpected things. I see this as unexpected insights emerging from our plunges into the dark emotional realms that can ground us. Saturn squaring Mercury indicates that if we are too fixated on our own opinions it may disrupt our communication with people. However, the positive Trine aspect between the Sun, Moon and Mars conjunction and Neptune in Pisces shows that spiritual practice such as meditation or chanting can help us during a time when we have been plunged into a dark psychological realm. In fact, any kind of music can be uplifting for us.

There is also a positive Sextile aspect between Venus and Mercury indicating that going through the challenging process of confronting our emotional issues will result in better communication in our relationships.

As usual, I have done the chart for Washington. The Rising sign is Libra indicating that relationships will be an issue to be dealt with, within the United States government and around the world. President Biden will probably be overwhelmed but if he can meet the challenge, it will give him strength in his run for reelection.
