New Moon-May 19,2023
This new Moon is in the sign of Taurus but we are in the last couple of days before entering the sing of Gemini so we have already had 28 days in the sign of earthiness and sensuality and have reveled in the beauty of spring and the trees bursting with new blossoms. By Sunday we will be entering the sign of Gemini which is an air sign ruled by Mercury, the messenger, and relates to communication of all forms-speaking and writing. It is the time to communicate something you have been postponing whether it is an apology or even a criticism. It is also a good time to begin a writing project you may have been postponing.
The chart for this new Moon shows that we are in a time of major transformation. There is a powerful aspect called a Grand Cross with Mars Opposing Pluto and each of these planets are opposing the Lunar Nodes.
Mars, the planet of action and Pluto, the planet of deep transformation being in opposition indicates that any actions we take will have major ramifications we might not anticipate. Being in the square aspect to the Lunar Nodes show that we can be influenced by the past in ways that cause us to break away and move forward to a new reality. With Jupiter conjunct the North Node of the Moon it may end up being very positive but not without facing our woundedness as shown by the square between Venus and Chiron. Chances are this will happen in relationships, whether romantic or friendship.
There are also some very positive aspects on this chart. Saturn, the planet of structure and discipline is in a positive sextile aspect to Jupiter, the North Node, and Mercury indicating that with a disciplined approach we can establish positive communication if we do not just lash out at people. Saturn is also in a positive trine aspect to Venus, the ruler of relationships, so again we see that our relationships can be improved and transformed by working hard in a disciplined manner.
Another positive aspect is a trine between Neptune, the spiritual planet, in its own sign of Pisces and Mars in Cancer showing energy put into nurturing. Mars is in Neptune’s natural house, the 12th. This indicates that spiritual practices such as meditation can help a lot in healing the wounds of relationships.
As usual, I have done the chart for Washington. The sign on the horizon is Leo so I think there were be strong leadership coming from the government which may have to deal with some unexpected events shown by the square to Uranus. However, some real healing may occur indicated by the trine to Chiron.
This is a chart with some major challenges but some strong indications that they can be dealt with in a strong, compassionate way bringing some positive changes.
