New Moon-December 7,2018-Washington, D.C.

This last New Moon of the year is a powerful one. It’s in the sign of Sagittarius which is the sign associated with adventures and travel, teaching and spirituality. It is the sign of courage and optimism and its ruler, Jupiter, is in the sign for a year- until December 2019.This magnifies the energy of Sagittarius so it’s a time of taking risks, adventuring and seeking new horizons. The Sun, Moon and Jupiter are being squared by the planets Mars, God of war, combined with Neptune, God of the inner world, in the Sign of Pisces which is the sign that Neptune rules and is associated with the unconscious, the dream world, the mystical realm. However, since Mars is involved there could be a tendency to blurt out repressed anger or old resentments so it is important to become conscious of those feelings. What all of this means is that it is a time to adventure out but also adventure inward and tap into the spiritual world through meditation or prayer-whatever slows you down and takes you inside to get more in touch with yourself, your unconscious feelings and what you truly want and need for this coming year. Simply being adventuresome and taking risks without being in touch with your inner compass is not a good idea at this time. Both realms are important.

In addition to all of the above, the planet Uranus is still squaring the nodes of the moon so expect the unexpected, particularly if you are born in the later degrees of the cardinal signs-Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn or have the Moon, Ascendant or other planets there.

In Washington, there will be more unexpected revelations and perhaps conflicts between those who are optimistically focused on money as the most important issue and those more concerned with compassion. The Sun and Moon are close in degree to the President’s Moon so the next few months could be a time for even more eruptions of his true thoughts and feelings and then denials the next day. Fasten your seat belts for a wild ride.
