This new moon is in the sign of Sagittarius: the adventurer, traveler, and teacher. Generally, Sagittarian’s have an optimistic attitude. As the holidays approach, we can expect to be open to positive expectations and willing to take risks. It is also a good time for traveling as many people do to be with family and friends for the holidays. There is a positive trine aspect to the Lunar North Node in Aries which indicates we should have plenty of energy for all the preparations, travel, and festivities.

There is a positive sextile aspect between Mercury, the messenger, and Saturn, the organizer.  In addition, there is a sextile between Mercury and Venus, the planet signifying relationships. This seems to indicate it is a good time for communication that is clear and concise and that improves our relationships.

There is a challenging T-square aspect between the Sun-Moon in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces. I think this is showing that too much alcohol can get in the way of our functioning at our best. It is good to rein in the tendency to drink too much at holiday gatherings. There is also an opposition between Venus in Scorpio and Jupiter in Taurus which shows that too much indulgence in food or other things can get in the way of harmonious relationships-it can take one into dark psychological realms.

I have done the chart for Washington, D.C. and Cancer is on the ascendant indicating that Biden and others in the government will be showing a nurturing and emotional side. Due to the sextile from Uranus it could seem unexpected or bring some unexpected results which ultimately could be positive and healing.
