Full Moon-Oct.13,2019-Washington-D.C.

On this full moon the Sun is in the sign of Libra and the Moon in in the sign of Aries so the theme that began this astrological year is highlighted again but this time it’s in reverse. With the Sun in Libra there is an emphasis on relationships and diplomacy with the need to balance this with taking care of one’s own needs as well. There could be a tendency to lose oneself in partnerships and to neglect one’s own needs so Aries provides the balance. Both the Sun and Moon are in a challenging aspect,90 degrees from the Planet Pluto, who is lord of the underworld or the one who brings transformation. This means that we are challenged to confront the ways we either lose ourselves in relationships or perhaps are too narcissistic and always put our own needs in front of our partners and friends. Whichever side one errs on, this is the season to be drawn inward to experience our own psychological dynamics and hopefully achieve more balance. The planet Venus-goddess of love is in Scorpio signifying transformation and opposed by Uranus -lightening bolt of change- so unexpected changes will probably occur in relationships

The planet Jupiter representing adventure and risk taking is in a harmonious aspect with the Sun and Moon so it is okay to take some risks in trying out new ways of being as long as we don’t get overly romantic and lose sight of reality-Neptune squaring Jupiter could create this dynamic.

There is also a grand trine in water at this time between Neptune right on the Pisces ascendant in Pisces, its ruling sign, and Mercury in Scorpio, and the North Node of the Moon in Cancer in the 4th house which is Cancer’s house. (the house structure is for this particular chart done for Washington, D.C.) The grand trine in water indicates that this is an emotionally nurturing time if one tunes inward and accesses one’s spiritual dimension whether through meditation, music or however one opens up to this realm of being.

Another important aspect on this chart is Mars, the planet of assertion and energy-ruler of Aries, is in its opposite sign of Libra squaring Saturn and South Node in Capricorn indicating the importance of maintaining one’s boundaries and squaring the south node in Cancer indicating the need for nurturing of oneself as well as others.

This chart is done for Washington, D.C. so in the government there will be even more indications of the conflict between relationships and narcissism. However, there may be times when risk taking accomplishes the goals of diplomacy. With the planet Venus in Scorpio and the 8th house there can be some major transformation in government positions and particularly unexpected changes due to the opposition from Uranus. This may indicate unexpected developments related to impeachment.
