Full Moon-Lunar Eclipse-Washington, D.C-Nov.30,2020

This full moon is a particularly potent one as it’s a lunar eclipse so the effects may be felt for the next 6 months. It’s also a Blue Moon since it’s the 2nd Full Moon this month. The Sun is in optimistic and adventuresome Sagittarius, the teacher and traveler and the Moon is in Gemini, sign of the messenger, the communicator. It is a good time to take a risk, to embark on a new project you may have been delaying. With Mercury, the ruler of Gemini in Scorpio, the transformer, in a positive aspect to Jupiter and Pluto, rulers of Sagittarius and Scorpio, it is a time to communicate from the depths of your being with those close and trusted friends and family. It can be a very good time for writing your deepest feelings which can help transform others. You can be well organized and disciplined since there’s a positive aspect to Saturn.

Venus, Goddess of love and creativity is in a positive aspect to Neptune, God of the sea symbolizing the unconscious and spiritual realms. Therefore, it’s a great time to venture into new creative projects, particularly music.

The positive trine aspect between Mars in Aries, the sign it rules and the south Node of the Moon in Sagittarius indicates that it’s a go for it, take a risk time. At the same time, Chiron squaring the Moon shows that one may need to overcome wounding of one’s self esteem to be able to communicate freely.

Venus is opposed by Uranus, the disrupter, indicating this could be a time for change or ending of a relationship that no longer serves your deepest needs.

The Sun is also in a positive trine aspect to Mars in Aries further emphasizing this being a good time to take a risk or venture into the unknown. However, some caution is needed shown by the semi-square to Pluto, Jupiter and Saturn.

I did this chart for Washington, D.C. and much of this applies to the new administration. However, there is an inconjunct aspect between Chiron- the wounded healer- and the ascendant. I think this shows the resistance that Trump will exhibit to the transfer of power due to his own insecurities and lifelong fear of being a loser. Chiron is also squaring the Moon showing some communication motivated by hurt feelings.

In addition, the inconjunct between the north Node of the Moon in Gemini, sign of communication and the planets Pluto, Jupiter and Saturn in Capricorn indicates possible attempts to cover up truths that will be unsuccessful. It’s important to be cautious and organized in one’s communication.

One more aspect is the inconjunct between the Sagittarius Sun in the 2nd house of money (on the chart for Washington, D.C.) and Uranus in Taurus, the sign that rules 2nd house. This could indicate sudden money issues emerging if there’s too much risk taking and not enough caution.

Another important aspect on this chart for Washington, D.C. is the positive trine between the Sun and Chiron showing that a new positive energy could heal old wounds.

In one’s personal life it is also important to balance risk taking with some caution and practicality but it’s also a time when old wounds can be healed and a greater self-esteem can emerge.
