Full Moon-July 23,2021-Washington, D.C.
The theme of this full moon with the Sun in Leo and the Moon in Aquarius is the balance between the energy of ego drive and accomplishment with the need for humanitarianism. We all want to relax and enjoy ourselves at this time of year but we’re still called upon to help others. This is particularly true at the time of the pandemic when so many people need support and encouragement. With Pluto in Capricorn conjoining the Moon it is an opportunity to transform and let go of some of our psychological baggage holding us back from being true to ourselves as opposed to meeting other’s expectations. Break out of the constrictions that bind you. Nevertheless, with Saturn close by it’s important to have some caution and boundaries too. Balance is needed.
Neptune is in positive aspect to Mercury so communication of one’s deep feelings whether through words or music can be fulfilling to oneself and uplifting for others.
Relationships may be challenged as there is a Grand Cross between Venus, Jupiter and the Nodes of the Moon. Try to maintain boundaries in your relationships and not be swept away by unreal promises or upset by communications that aren’t what you’ve expected. This can be particularly relevant for people who have major planets in the early degrees of the mutable signs: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.
The chart is done for Washington, D.C. The rising sign is Pisces with Neptune its ruler only 2 degrees away. There is a positive aspect between the Neptune- Ascendant and the planet Mercury. This indicates a time of compassionate communication and emotional outpouring in the government. In some situations there may be too much emotional outpouring but hopefully compassion will prevail. There could also be a pull between ego needs and humanitarianism-helping others versus filling one’s own pockets or serving the needs of one’s supporters. With Saturn in positive aspect to the North Node in Gemini there may be some discipline in communication and not just spouting reactions between members of congress. This remains to be seen.
