Halloween Full Moon-Oct.31,2020-Washington, D.C.

This is the Full Moon of Scorpio and Taurus with the Sun in deep, psychological Scorpio, the sign of death and rebirth. Scorpio represents the dark night of the soul. The Moon is in earthy Taurus representing everything sensual, creative and connected to the earth. What makes this Full Moon particularly intense is the fact that the Moon is exactly conjunct the planet Uranus signifying unexpected change. Uranus is the disrupter and since it’s been going through earthy Taurus, we’ve seen intensifying climate change. We’ve also been having the Corona Virus and this pandemic has upended life as we know it. During the next month Jupiter is moving into a conjunction with Pluto, the planet of death and rebirth, for the 3rd and final time, so we should be seeing a surge in Covid cases but hopefully it will be the last and perhaps, by January there could be a vaccine.

I have done this chart for Washington, D.C.  There will be changes in the government but not a smooth transition. The Planet Venus, the relationship goddess, is on the midheaven, the highest point on the chart, but she is opposed by Chiron, the wounded healer. It seems that the wounded ego of the president will be on grand display and he will be in fighting mode with Mars, God of war, squaring Pluto and Jupiter. Also, Mercury is retrograde just going direct on election night so it appears that we will not know the winners on election night. With Neptune squaring the ascendant and the Nodal Axis there will be a lot of confusion and Mercury is squaring Saturn so falsehoods will be apparent but they will be punished. None of this is unexpected but the chart validates it.

On a personal level this can be a very challenging time. It’s a time to be patient and go inward for answers before acting. It’s a time to take care of oneself physically and follow guidelines for the pandemic like wearing masks and social distancing and not going into crowded places. Also, it’s important not to react verbally without considering what you’re saying and the effect it might have. Be open to change but don’t try to force anything. Be cautious. Be compassionate towards oneself and others. We’re all experiencing a lot of emotional and physical upheaval.

Things will change, Be patient.
