Full Moon-Aug.03,2020- Washington, D.C.
On this full moon the Sun is in Leo, the sign indicating leadership, creativity, and generosity and the Moon is in Aquarius, the sign associated with friendships, humanitarian groups and rebels-those who stand up to a status quo they view as oppressive to their individuality and freedom. We are already seeing this in all the Black Lives Matter protests. Both the Sun and Moon are being squared by Uranus, the planet associated with rebellion and unexpected events so we will be seeing more rebellion against the status quo and against leaders who are seen as lacking in humanitarian values. There will probably be situations that we are not anticipating.
On the positive side, this chart done for Washington, D.C. has a Libra Ascendant indicating diplomacy and it is in a harmonious aspect to the North Node of the Moon in Gemini exactly conjunct Venus, Planet of love and creativity in Gemini. This is showing some creative communication and diplomacy. Mercury in Cancer showing emotional communication is in a positive aspect to Neptune in Pisces indicating compassion.
On the negative side Mercury in Cancer can indicate emotional outpouring and it is opposed by Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn so too much emotional expression can get a strong reaction and serious consequences and with Mars in Aries, God of war, there can be an over reaction which is something we’ve already seen from this government.
Neptune is ruling the 6th house of health so there will be a compassionate response to the health crisis but at the same time with Mars in Aries in the 6th house in wide conjunction to Chiron in Aries-the wounded healer; the wounded ego of our president could interfere with a compassionate and responsible response to this 2nd wave of the pandemic.
On a personal level one can try to balance creative expression and time with friends. It’s a good time to do some creative writing or learn something new or teach something online. It can be a time to express one’s feelings through writing, especially poetry, but balanced by structure and discipline. It can be a creative and transformational time but challenging as well. It’s important not to overreact emotionally or one could experience unpleasant consequences.
