Summer Solstice-June21,2019-Washington, D.C.

This summer solstice follows the full moon by 4 days so there are some similar themes. There is still the big opposition between the Mars, Mercury and North Node in Cancer which indicates we should be nurturing ourselves and others and the Saturn, Pluto and South Node in Capricorn indicating we are drawn towards being hyper critical and perfectionistic, particularly when it pertains to ourselves and our past. So, although this process is part of our transformation it is important to forgive ourselves and others so we can move on.

The theme shown by Venus in Gemini which is focusing on personal communication as opposed to the Jupiter in Sagittarius indicating more universal and spiritual subjects is also operating here. Communication in personal relationships is important but can become narrow and egotistical if one doesn’t consider broader universal truths.

The positive sextile aspect between Jupiter in Sagittarius and the Moon in Aquarius shows that this is the time to let one’s adventuresome free spirit and rebel sides come out and play and perhaps that can achieve some positive changes in your life and in the culture at large.

The smooth trine between Neptune, God of the inner realm, still in his own sign of Pisces and the Mars and Mercury conjunction in emotional nurturing Cancer indicates that meditation and music can be nourishing and healing so include these on your summer vacation.

The chart is done for Washington, D.C. and has an ascendant of Virgo forming a grand cross  with Venus in Gemini, Jupiter in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces so the same theme of the conflict between the need for control and being right over doing what is for the highest good of all still applies and there is  a lot of confusion over communication that was also showing on the full moon chart. Let’s hope that doing what is for the highest good  triumphs.
